The only journalist (with the exception of Lester Bangs)I ever had respect for died today after shooting himself. Hunter S Thompson will go down as one of great writers of the 20th century, I hope his legacy will live on in way Kerouac and Burroughs does today. [link]) I've had big respect for this guy since the early 90's ,he was played by Johnny Depp in the adaptation of his book Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and he wrote many other funny drug and rock and roll fueled books . Observational even when totally wasted ..rocked the coolist hats and sunglasses known to man. A genius who will be missed by anyone who's read him.
